Mendocino County’s former Public Health Officer will remain on the payroll. Dr. Noemi Doohan, who moved to San Diego County, continued to fill the roll of Public Health Officer until her replacement, Dr. Andy Coren, was hired back in July. But she has continued to serve, on a part-time basis, charging the county 15 hours per month. This week the Board of Supervisors approved paying Doohan up to $100,000 to serve as Deputy Public Health Officer through the end of 2021.
