PG&E Blamed for North Bay Fires

Cal Fire is blaming PG&E for the fatal North Bay wildfires that broke out last October. Those fires were in in Sonoma, Napa, Mendocino, Humboldt, Butte and Lake counties. Cal Fire investigators say PG&E equipment was found to have played a role in: the Atlas Fire in Napa County, the merged set of fires in Sonoma and Napa counties, and the Redwood Fire in Mendocino County. That fire caused 9 fatalities. In total, the North Bay fires last fall claimed 44 lives, burned at least 245,000 acres and caused close to 10 billion dollars in losses.
