Earlier this week, the Mendocino County Sheriff’s Office was called to a home in Hopland where more than 100 animals were being kept without food and water. Animal Control officers and firefighters removed the animals they could and brought water to those who remained. The animals included dogs, sheep, goats, cows, chickens, and more. Some animals remain at the home, and officials are checking in to make sure they are taken care of. The MCSO is working to bring animal cruelty charges against owner.
