The Ukiah Unified School District will make its argument in court today to have a judgment against them reversed. The judgment invalidated the fees imposed on new homes built in the Ukiah Valley, known as developer fees. Last year, local builder Steve Gomes filed a lawsuit against the UUSD over the more than $13,000 in fees he was charged for building five homes after tearing down six. The district’s motion to overturn that ruling will be heard this morning in Mendocino County Superior Court.
