Though Coren cautions the decrease is also due to a drop in testing numbers. Changes from the state could also scale back restrictions for the county earlier. Governor Gavin Newsom announced yesterday that as the state makes progress in vaccinating lower-income residents, it will ease the requirements counties need to meet to advance through the state’s Blueprint for a Safer Economy.
