Lake County unemployment numbers remained steady last month while state numbers declined. The California Employment Department’s latest report shows that the unemployment rate in the county in October remained at 6.2% for the second month in a row. Lake County had 718 Unemployment Insurance claims in October and 50 claims for Pandemic Unemployment Assistance, compared to 1,527 and 230 claims, respectively, in those categories last October.
