Fort Bragg City Council Votes to Buy Land for Reservoirs and Park

The Fort Bragg City Council has unanimously approved a plan to buy land, build three reservoirs and establish a park area on the acreage. The just under $2.5 million dollar purchase from the Mendocino Coast Recreation and Park District would secure 582 acres, around 30 0f which would be used for the reservoirs and the rest used as a community forest. The three reservoirs would hold a potential total of 44 million gallons of water in an area with readily accessible utilities.
