Shelter In Place Orders Being Enforced

Lake County residents remain under a shelter in place order that had more restrictions added to it over the weekend by the public health department. Law enforcement continues to try to educate the community but will issue citations if necessary. Violating the local shelter in place order is a misdemeanor punishable by a $500 fine, jail time or both.

Mendocino County residents are also under a shelter in place order. A revised Health Order today aligns more closely with the Governor’s Executive Order and Statewide Health Order issued on March 19, requiring all Californians to shelter in their place of residence, except as necessary to maintain or access critical systems and services.
