Mendocino Coast Health Care District Measure C to Appear on March Ballot

A total of 9 measures will be on the Mendocino County March ballot – including Measure C for the Mendocino Coast Health Care District. That ballot measure seeks voter approval to enter into a lease agreement in which operation of the majority of its facilities would be transferred to Stone Point Health, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation that is an affiliate of Adventist Health System/West. As a Hospital District, Mendocino Coast Health Care District must obtain voter approval before transferring fifty percent or more of its assets to private control. The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors recently voted to formally support passage of the measure.
