Library Park Seawall Replacement Work Underway

Work began this week on construction of the seawall replacement at Lakeport’s Library Park. The seawall was destroyed in the February 2017 storms. The Public Works Department worked to get funding from FEMA, which will pay for most of the cost of the wall. The project includes the replacement of approximately 535 lineal feet of seawall. The new seawall will be built with a steel sheet pile designed to withstand heavy wave action and future flooding.
