Winter Storm Could Cause Unplanned Outages

PG&E has set up a staging area on the Georgia-Pacific millsite in Fort Bragg, in anticipation this week’s winter storm. PG&E forecasters say the event will include strong southerly winds, heavy rain, heavy mountain snow, thunderstorms and cold temperatures. This storm has the potential to produce unplanned customer outages. South winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts of 45 to 55 mph are expected for Lake County from late afternoon through tomorrow morning, and for Mendocino County from early this afternoon until early tomorrow morning.
