Northshore Fire Protection District Special Election

The Northshore Fire Protection District Special Election is today. The Registrar of Voters office will be open until 8 this evening. A yes vote is a vote in favor of authorizing the Northshore Fire Protection District to impose an annual parcel tax—a kind of property tax based on units of property rather than assessed value— of $126 per parcel to fund emergency medical and fire services until ended by voters. A two-thirds supermajority is needed to pass Measure N. Polling place locations are posted on the county’s website: click the Registrar of Voters Department at lakecountyca.gov/. You can also find polling places in the Voter Information Guide that was mailed out to all eligible voters.
