Schools Make Plans for Possible Power Outage

Area schools are preparing in case there is no power tomorrow.

With most of the city of Lakeport under threat of a PG&E Public Safety Power Shutoff, the school district’s current plan is that if the electricity goes out while students are in school, they will finish the school day. Should the power be shut down outside of school hours they district will not hold school that day. Communications will be sent through the student information system as well as posted on the district website and Facebook page.

The Ukiah Unified School District says if they need to cancel school due to a PSPS, they will communicate to parents through email, phone calls, texts, and on their Facebook page.
