It Could Take Days for Power Lines to Re-energize In Event of PSPS

Pacific Gas and Electric continues to monitor weather conditions and update plans for a possible massive public safety power shutoff for at least 30 counties – including Lake and Mendocino Counties. If it takes place, the shutoff is scheduled to begin at 4 a.m. tomorrow and continue through Thursday.

Both Lake and Mendocino County officials are reminding residents that at the conclusion of the shut-off, it could take several days for power lines to be re-energized. For some areas – it could take up to five days to be back to full power. As a result, you should be prepared with food, water, and any other necessary supplies for this potential extended outage.
