Clearlake State of The City Focuses on Creating New Perceptions

Crime is down, and the community is transforming – those were themes during the fourth annual State of the City event in Clearlake Wednesday. Police chief Andrew White reported that violent and property crimes in Clearlake dropped significantly between 2017-2019. As part of the effort to change perceptions, City Manager Alan Flora said they have been tackling blight, and investing in infrastructure – including the renovation of Austin Park. During the ground-breaking event, Adventist Health Clearlake presented a $100,000 check to Clearlake’s Mayor for that project.
