Volunteers Give Plowshares Garden Some TLC

A workday was held at the Plowshares Garden in Ukiah on Friday. It was hosted by the NCO Gardens Project and Plowshares Peace and Justice Center. Organizers said the garden needed a little love and elbow grease to be able to provide produce for the 60,000 meals a year that Plowshares serves to the community. Volunteers did some weeding, added some fertilizer, planted several types of seeds and started flats. Volunteers said they were happy to do work that will help others in the community.
