Mendocino County Board Approves Expenditures Backup Power

The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors this week approved expenditures for generators in case of a power shutoff. PG&E may shut off power in the area to reduce wildfire risk from its equipment, and the county wants to be ready. The approved capital improvement energy projects will ensure there is power at the Administrative Center in Ukiah. The project include: The installation of electrical intersects, the establishment of a long-term project beginning with an initial backup power assessment at the administration center, and the rental of five standby generators for three months. The Lake County Board of Supervisors also recently approved the purchase of generators for county facilities.
