DA’s Won’t Charge PG&E for Wildfires

PG&E will not face charges for its role in a series of wildfires in Northern California. Four county district attorneys – including the Lake County DA – say they will not charge utility company. Cal Fire blamed the company’s equipment for at least 17 wildfires during October of 2017 that killed 13 people.  The DA’s announced in a joint statement that after an extensive review they determined there is insufficient evidence to prove PG&E acted with reckless disregard for human life.
