Cal Fire Increasing Staff and Resources for Red Flag Warning

Cal Fire has increased staff and resources as a red flag warning remains in effect through tomorrow morning in Lake County. Gusty winds and low humidity prompted the National Weather Service to issue the warning. As a result, Calfire is increasing its staffing, including additional air resources. The Governor’s Office of Emergency Services is positioning strike teams of fire engines, water tenders and emergency dispatchers in 6 counties including Lake. The Cal Fire Sonoma-Lake-Napa Unit is staffing all firefighting hand crews and bulldozers all hours of the day until the the weather conditions improve.
