Skyhawk Drops Out of 5th District Supervisor Race

Chris Skyhawk has officially dropped out of the Mendocino County 5th District Supervisor race, after suffering a stroke in late June. During the June Primary Race, Skyhawk finished with the 2nd most votes to face the top vote-getter Ted Wiliams in run-off in November. There have been questions if the 3rd place candidate, David Roderick will be added to the ballot. But according to the County Clerk, Skyhawk’s name will remain on the November ballot as the third place candidate is given a spot on the ballot only in the case of another candidate’s death. If Skyhawk were to recieve the most votes, the position would then be filled by the California governor by appointment.
