High Powered Weapons Found in Clearlake Home

The Clearlake Police Department found several high powered weapons in the possession of a convicted felon. Law enforcement in Fresno County arrested 53-year-old Robert David Cooper of Clearlake for firearms violations and alerted local police that he had additional firearms and ammunition concealed in his home. Police conducted a search warrant yesterday a the residence in the 16100 block of 36th Avenue in Clearlake. They discovered a cache of weapons that included AR-15 semiautomatic rifles and a machine gun. Numerous felony charges will be filed against Cooper with the Lake County District Attorney’s Office.
