Contract Dispute Halts Debris Removal

A dispute over the contract to remove fire debris has caused The Army Corps of Engineers and government contractors to halt debris cleanup work in Mendocino County. AshBritt Environmental had originally been awarded the contract to remove debris for all counties affected by the October wildfires, but the Army Corps of Engineers recently awarded a new contract to Ceres Environmental Services to take over and continue debris cleanup. The delay is leaving residents and contractors frustrated.
