Clearlake Man to Stand Trial in Animal Cruelty Case

A Clearlake man has been ordered to stand trial in an animal cruelty case. Back in September, a dog was found dead along Highway 53. It was determined the dog belonged to 40-year-old James Harley Thomas Miranda. The dog died from blunt force trauma injuries consistent with being hit by a vehicle.
Miranda has pleaded not guilty to felony animal cruelty and a charge of being under the influence of a controlled substance.
