05-19-17-Tourism Up in Mendocino County

A new report by Mendocino County’s Lodging Business Improvement District, shows the tourism industry in the county is growing. The report shows that in the 2014 fiscal year, the county collected more than $4 million in transient occupancy taxes from only its unincorporated areas, which is up 8 percent from the year before and up 23 percent from 2010. A seperate report for Visit California shows record numbers for Mendocino County in 2016, with visitor spending last year totaling $386 million dollars.
