The Mendocino County Board of Supervisors voted unanimously to introduce the draft ordinance for recreational cannabis cultivation. It provides regulations for indoor cannabis cultivation for recreational use, which are similiar to in the county’s medical cannabis cultivation ordinance. If passed, the provision would allow six recreational plants, which must be contained within 100 square feet, to be grown without a permit, as allowed by Proposition 64. But outdoor recreational cultivation would not be allowed on parcels smaller than ten acres in size.
