There were a few surprises as the final, certified results of the November election in Mendocino County were announced. After trailing in early results, Tessa Albin-Smith, running as a write-in candidate for city council, pulled ahead of Michell Roberts and won by a three-vote margin. Lindy Peters, a long-time member of the council won his seat resoundingly and voters chose three new members of the Mendocino Coast Health Care District, Jade Tippett, Lee Finney, and Susan Savage.
