Officer Suffers Dog Bite in Ukiah

A Ukiah police officer suffered a dog bite while responding to a call. The officer went to the Community Center/Food Bank on North State Street after a report that man with two dogs was causing a disturbance and refusing to leave. The man was placed under arrest, and as the officer was taking him to his squad car, one of the man’s dogs bit the officer on the leg and forearm. The officer was treated for his injuries and both dogs were placed under quarantine at the Mendocino County Animal Shelter.
