Who Gets the Bill for the Perkins Street Overpass Repairs

Taxpayers won’t be footing the bill for the repairs being made on the Perkins Street overpass in Ukiah. The overpass was damaged on September 14th when it was struck by an over-height load on a truck. A Caltrans District 1 spokesman says the insurance carrier for the company whose employee caused the damage will be charged for the cost of repairs up to $1.1 million dollars.
