WUSD reconsider policies

The Willits Unified School District is considering new policies.

he district will consider security procedures after a bomb threat was reported at the Sherwood Elementary School earlier this month. Willits News reports, The school Superintendent Patricia Johnson sent a letter to the Mendocino County Sheriff and the Brooktrails Fire Chief saying the district is considering installing surveillance equipment at the site, replacing printer and computers with password protected devices, and sharing policies and procedures for dealing with school emergencies with parents. The district also requested training with law enforcement before fall classes begin regarding procedures and protocols for school threats and evacuation procedures. )))
