Abandoned Trailers in Lake County

The city of Clearlake has seen an increase in the number of motor homes and travel trailers abandoned in residential and business areas. The Record Bee reports, the Police Department believes some of the increase is from abandoned marijuana growing operations and increased code enforcement efforts and says the trailers are being left on the side of the road, sometimes blocking roadways and driveways. The vehicles are extremely difficult and costly to remove. The city of Clearlake is looking into several different options and cost-effective ways for dealing with abandoned vehicles. Police are asking the public, if they see anyone engaged in dumping recreational vehicles or any vehicles to call them immediately.
