Lake Mendocino Tested for Koi Herpes Virus

A sample of Lake Mendocino was sent to be tested as officicials try to determine what killed hundreds of carp this week. The the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers are hopeful the cause was the Koi herpes virus, so a water sample has been sent to to the University of California at Davis to be tested for the virus. Other samples of the water and fish were taken and sent to scientists with the California Fish and Wildlife Department.
